I am currently building editing my sims high rise. Placing a collumn under it using constrainfloorelev. Floors are a type of object in build mode that can be placed on terrain a foundation or beside supports such as a wall or column sims will prefer walking on floor tiles over bare terrain and can only walk on floor tiles on the upper stories of a building.

Yes i have tried making a room and deleting the walls that does not work at all nor did any floor tiles even show up when i placed a room just the walls. When the first floor closed it should have automatically added a ceiling second floor if you accidentally deleted the ceiling second level. Note i am using the appropriate cheats.

Try a pillar or piece of wall on the first floor under that spot and see if that helps. I ve built a couple of buildings now that have this problem. It s just an is. I tried being serious once in 1989.

More worryingly sims 3 automatically places floor tiles by stairs and those seem to be just not there. You may need to write the dimensions of the thing on a paper demolish the lot and try again.
